    Hello everybody!

My 1520 gets to around 80 degrees C when I play Company of Heroes or Bioshock, on high settings. I mention that temperature in the room is around 28 degrees. Is this normal? I mean the temperature of the laptop not of the room :).

Normal? not exactly but not unheard of.
options to get that temp down:
    get a notebook cooler (~$20-60USD)
clean out your air vents with compresses air(there is a guide on this, do a search if interested)
raise the elevation of the notebook( place you notebook on something that will allow more airflow underneath it.
I used to use a pair of old drum sticks before I got a notebook cooler.

    hope this helps

    If that's a CPU temp then..ha ha ha..Scary, I was worried when mine hit 70 :/

Might wanna invest in a cooler

    Zalam ZM-NC1000

Expensive, but works like gold, didn't notice it much at the beginning, but my system is never at 70 anymore while gaming :D

    Good thermal compound helps..

But as long as it's not so hot it's shutting down, I guess you're fine. 90-110 is a danger lol

But if you're cheap - two Pepsi bottle caps do wonders LOL..So does a thick wallet..

mine gets up to 75 with the GPU, both CPU cores loaded

    (18 C room) go figure

don't worry...that fan can get VERY FAST -- it can be like a hairdryer. (sort of...more close to a good table fan). I know because when I did a BIOS flash, the bios sets the fan to max so that when its flash and doesn't have control, the CPU won't melt no matter what.

If you want to see how fast your fan can go, go in the Dell Diagnostics and run the fan test. (10-16 mins to get started to pass the memory tests)

also don't forget that the air has to pass the GPU heatsink before hitting the CPU. (the gpu heatsink though, does not take up the entire length that the CPU heatsink does to let the CPu heatsink get some cold air)
