I have the Inspiron 1520 with the specs in my sig.

I have it hooked up to a 40" LCD through S-Video, and I also have it hooked up to a 24" monitor through VGA>VGA.

Is it possible to have both of these screens going at the same time?
    1 (40" Extended Desktop), 2 (Main Laptop Monitor) ,3 (24" Extended Desktop)

I can only get one monitor to show up in the display settings. (1 - the main laptop, 2 - the monitor or LCD extended desktop).

I'm not totally sure what you are asking but:

You can't have three displays, Windows only supports two monitors (main and extended).

If the problem is you can only use the laptop screen and a monitor and not two monitors, which monitor is Windows showing, the VGA or S-video?

The 1520 has S video? I've had this thing a year and never noticed it haha!

A friend of mine tried running s video on from a desktop to a TV and the picture wasn't that great. Is Svideo quality always this low?
