Well Dell Inspiron 1520 Screen hurts my eyes...

When i bright the screen to the max, it hurts my eyes... its not comfortable. My friend has a laptop too and his screen looks much better and comfortable compared to mine, why is it?

I picked the default screen when ordering...

What can i do about this?

Have you got the latest BIOS? The display brightness range is sometimes changed during BIOS updates.

    Hi

I have the exact same problem....impiron 1520 screen are ****.

what I did is that i bough one of those privacy filters (get it cheap from ebay) for inspiron 1520 and it improved the screen a lot.

besides it removed the horrible reflexion that these screens have

    still not wonderful but better....

Why can't you just turn down the brightness?
