G’day am considering buying the Dell Inspiron 1520 which comes with Windows Vista Premium preinstalled.

I want to know if I will be able to:
    1. Dual boot with Windows XP.
    2. In case anything goes wrong and I decided to format the XP and Vista Partitions. Can I reinstall media direct, windows xp then windows vista (oem)
    3. will the FN keys work in both of windows XP and Vista (as per my knowledge there are different BIOS updates for XP and Vista)

Kindly guide me to resources that guides in this process.

    2. Yup comes with everything on disk and can be downloaded from Dells site.
    3. Yea, it works in XP and Vista.

Heat is very minimal, and the fan is only noticeable when doing graphic intensive work or playing games.
