    Dell Inspiron 1520 Battery light blinking but black screen.

    My Dell Inspiron 1520 battery light is constant blinking and will not turn on screen, but you can hear the fan kick in and also the hardrive light flashes. I had taking the battery out for about 4 weeks now and just been running it with the AC adapter. I have tried reseting the ram also putting back in the battery ( i have 2 batteries both fully charge before i removed them ) and still the same results. If anyone have any ideas or similar problems and was able to fix it pls help.

Also you can go through one link that I am giving you, where in you will see lot of information about battery status light. Here is the link:-

    I would suggest you one more step. Please turn on your system using ac adaptor and immediately keep tapping F2 key and it will take you to bios of your system wherein you can see the adaptor type written. Please let me know that.

    As I stated before the screen does not turn on at all with Battery in or with out ( with Ac adaptor ect)

    Does it work on an external display? Do you have Nvidia graphics?

    No I just have the onboard graphics card and I have tried it out on my other Home PC monitor with the hdm out, also it will not post.
