I formatted from vista to XP, I read through most of the threads here regarding all the steps in formatting. Unfortunately my internet doenst work (still need to install the ethernet drivers) and my cdrom doesnt work (still need to install the dvd 8x drivers). How the heck am I am supposed to install the drivers? Would the USB work? Can I just use this computer to download all the drivers and send it using a USB stick, or would the USB need a driver installation too?

I never get the dvd drivers thing. I always thought that the dvd is just like the HDD, no drivers needed. Otherwise, how did you install the OS in the first place, isn't it through the optical drive?
I know I didn't need any driver when I install XP/Debian etc on any of my machines. -
ya it took a while but my dvd driver finally showed up and works. My internet drivers arent installed it, transfering em over from another computer as we speak, hopefully everything works out fine :O
