    Hello,

    My Inspiron 1520 has the following dates:
    Order Date: 8/2/07
    Production Date: 08/02/07
    Ship Date: 8/13/07
    Estimated Delivery Date is:8/30/07

    My accessories arrived on 8/14/07, I live near Edmonton Alberta. I am wondering if anyone has a clue how long this should take? Anyone's experience with Purolator and Dell from Calgary, Edmonton or near me (relatively) would help me a bunch. I would assume I'd get it on Friday but I am having a feeling since it's somewhere in the U.S. to Canada, probably North Carolina or somewhere like that to Alberta I'd assume it's going to take a bit of time.

    Also I think the Dell estimate is WAY off. I think my laptop would arrive on 8/30/07 if Dell did a lot of mistakes in production and Purolator made a few themselves..., so I'm gonna say 8/21/07.

    Please, if someone can give me even a rough estimate I'd appreciate it.

    First post!

    Thanks;

    I ordered the midnight blue, or whatever it's called, the navy blue-like shade.

    Which processor did you order? There is a long delay on the T7100.

    Also, which accessories did you order? You didn't by any chance order a Belkin N1 Wireless-N Router, did you? Because I ordered one along with an Inspiron 1520 on Aug 1 and the router hasn't arrived yet. The shipping date was delayed twice. It is now estimated to ship on Aug 23.

    Well mine has the T7500, and Dell and Purolator have confirmed that it's "on the way" and I ordered a Netgear router that I already have set up :).

    By the way why did you get the T7100 when you have the same graphics card as mine, the 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT. I am not a computer expert but the T7100 is mostly for just some multitasking ability while being cost-effective, not necessarily gaming while my T7500 is more multitasking/gaming. That choice of a really good graphics card and a cost-friendly processor seem to contradict one another, is your laptop for video and photo editing and such then? Anyways, it seems like my laptop avoided the huge "pile-up" of Inspiron orders and has already been built and as of the 13/08/07, is "in transit in the U.S.". So it's already built and on it's way.

    The 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT is not a super powerful gaming card. I think it will go just fine with the processor.

    I believe a lot of Canadian orders are being filled quicker than US orders. I have been waiting 6 weeks for Dell Inspiron 1521 (Ruby Red)
