I boot up my Dell Inspiron 1501 with WinXP and it always gives me this error message after the Dell logo screen appears and before windows loads:

    --------

Warning: The Battery cannot be identified
This system will be unable to charge this battery

    Press Any Key to Continue
Press <F2> 2 times to enter SETUP
Press <F12> and Any Key to enter Boot Menu

    --------

I always just hit any key and it boots up normal. My Battery also charges normal and everything is working fine...

    Anyone encountered something like this?

A simple bios update resolves this issue :)
