I want to convert my Vista Dell Inspiron 1501 to Windows XP.
I'm wondering if anyone has done this and if they could kinda put me on the right track here.
I guess I'm just fed up with all the "allow this - allow that" plus it just seems to be soooo slow. I'm thinking that Xp would run quite nice on the the 1501configuration.
I hope someone can help me here
    Thank you

Why not just disable UAC? That might be a start. Especially with SP1 out now for Vista, it might help a bit with performance, but it still wont be stellar performance, Xp or Vista.

    Welcome to the forums.

XP probably is a good idea on the 1501, my friend has one, and it feels as though it is going backwards with Vista on it :p

The 1501 was sold with XP, so all of the drivers should be available on the Dell site.
