    Dell Inspiron 1501 Screen Problems

    I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 and when every i plug something in to the usb port (mouse,external hardrive,memory stick) the screen goes bezerk with diferent color lines going up and down then theres a little box that has the same design just smaller, each time its a different color, so if you know anything please help me!     I have no idea what is causing this, but if that happened to me, I'd try the Fn+F8 key, just for kicks....

    thats just for switching crt to lcd and its not hooked up

    Did u contract Dell?, its probably a Motherboard issue or maybe a driver problem.

    Yeah, call Dell.

    I know what Fn+F8 does, I was just saying that's what I would have done just to see if it made any difference....also play around with display settings, etc.

    But definitely call Dell.
