Hey everybody im new to this forum so bear with me. I have the inspiron 1501 an my touch pad is getting very worn. I looked on ebay and see the inspiron 6400 palm rest with the media buttons in the front and was wondering if i purchased that, would the buttons work for media? I know it will physically fit but what about the buttons?

Yeah, you would need the connectors which the 1501 doesn't have.
