Hey all,
My refurbished 7567 just arrived. It was listed as having an IPS panel on the outlet site. I pulled off the bezel and checked the model number:
LP156WF6 SP M3
Is this an actual IPS panel? I've googled the model number with and without () around the SP and M3 and can't find a definitive answer. The site below says IPS, but it looks a little janky and I don't have anything to cross reference it with:

To my knowledge all of the LP156WF6-SPXX panels are IPS panels. It's just that some are of much higher quality than others.
You can easily tell if it's a TN or IPS panel. Simply tilt the screen away from you. If you eventually get colour inversion (where the screen starts to go very dark) it's a TN panel. See this review's section on display panels to get an idea of what I mean by that.
If you're screen doesn't look like that when you tilt it away from you, it's an IPS panel. -
Thanks. I don't get color inversion so I guess it's IPS. The panel is pretty decent but not amazing by any means. A bit of color tweaking in the Intel settings has improved it a bit from it's out of the box state.
