Hi everyone, newbie here :) I tried searching the forums for my question but kept getting errors, so I had to create a new thread.

I'm thinking of buying a Dell Inspiron 14z, but I was wondering if I could install an SSD into it? And if I could install a backlit keyboard? Dell doesn't give these options so I wouldn't mind doing it myself

    Hi ,
My name is Amar, I work for Social Media and Community Team at Dell,

With regards to your concern as I understand that you are looking for upgrade option of SSD & backlit keyboard,

    • SSD option is available in Dell Inspiron 14z
    • Backlit keyboard option is not available in 14z , Even if you want to upgrade on your own the motherboard does not support backlit feature
    • You can try inspiron 14R SE ,This model gives you both SSD & Backlit keyboard option.

    Thanks & Regards
