    Friends,

I am looking forward to buy Dell Inspiron 14R N4110. Can you please give me feedback on this laptop. My budget is 35K INR.

New Inspiron 14R and 15R | Dell India

Specifically, how is display, sound, keyboard on this laptop? How is the battery backup? Does the laptop fan make loud noise? What about the trackpad? Is it large enough and mouse buttons are quite?

    Thanks a lot.

N4110 isn't a bad laptop, shares platform with other 15/17R. They changed from the low feedback last generation keyboard to a chicklet which is only okay for typing. Screen will depend on which model you get. From what I've seen, the display is okay for viewing angles/color gamut and contrast, it is any other generic cheapo 14" laptop screen, not great but not horrid.

I haven't got the chance to stress one, but light use and idle are quiet (though for me I'm not really bothered by fan noise). Trackpad is okay, typical of Dell's touchpads. Newer touchpads have that kinda laggy feeling, not as responsive as older Inspiron touchpads. Sound is okay, slightly better than normal speakers.

Thanks for the details. Actually, earlier I purchased XPS 15 L502X. Bad thing was I opted the 720p display on it and was very dissatisfied. Also the laptop was somehow bulky and pain to carry around. I sold it out and now looking for a light laptop. Dell XPS 14 has been discontinued. I see 14r as the only possible option. Any other laptop you guys recommend? Budget is $1000

It should play games on decent settings. Why not consider the Vostro 3450, it has a better GPU, similar pricing and it is an entry level business laptop. You also get an Expresscard slot, which has been absent in Inspirons for quite some time.
