Today my laptop randomly shut down and now whenever I start it up the laptop freezes on the windows loading screen. I have vista/windows 7 dual booted and tried safe mode and memory diagnostics but the laptop shuts down before anything can happen. Any suggestions? I want to try and reinstall the OS without wiping my data. Anybody know how to get to the recovery screen? I know my partition has a separate recovery drive, but don't know what F key to hit on startup to get to the reinstallation of windows...

Ok made a little progress. My laptop now starts up however it is extremely sluggish, the fan does not work and when I tried to insert my usb jump drive it loaded but did another random power down down. At this point I have no idea what to do but I do have full access so any suggestions anyone? I'm doing a virus scan now. What else should I do in Windows 7?

Also, my Cpu usage is at 100percent which can't be good! But memory is at about half at 900mb...
