I got the low end 1.5 ghz core 2 duo because I couldn't afford any higher ones. I was wondering if anyone else had ordered the same processor and could tell me if it runs smoothly when you play games, surf the web, download, play music, and videos.

    Thanks!

well, depends on what games you want to play, but graphics and ram run out much quicker than cpu

The game I mostly play is counter-strike or halo 1. Maybe occasionally Star Wars: KOTOR2. Would it run more smoothly than my 2.66 ghz intel p4 512 mb, 128 mb geforce fx 5200 computer?

Yes, it will run even better, assuming you get the 8400gs.. otherwise, no
