    Dell Inspiron 1420 Thermal Module Cover Issue?

    Hi, can someone with a 1420 please tell me if this is normal?

    Picture in point:

    In the picture, I'm pressing down on the cover. On the left side of my thumb, you can see that the cover kinda bulges out-ward. When I press down on the cover, it becomes flat.

    Anyone else's piece similar to this? I already received a replacement cover, but the same thing occurs.

    I noticed that on mine too, its not perfectly straight

    my 1420 is the same way also, I also have a grainy screen (1440x900). I havent fully made up my mind but I am probably going to take mine back and get a refund. :(

    Hmm, I just placed my hand under my laptop and pushed slightly in that area. Yeah, same thing it seems like. But since I didn't notice it before, I'm sure I'll forget about it after I close this thread later. hah

    Oh well. I find it weird how they seem supposed to be bent. You would think it would be flat like the rest of the covers...

    But anyway, thanks for your responses.
