Hey everyone,
I ordered an Inspiron 1300 on May 26...my order ended up being one of those that was cancelled after some system number error at Dell. Anyway, a sales rep replaced the order for me and it is now on its way.
The problem is I just noticed on the Dell website that since I placed my original order the 15.4 inch screen upgrade and 6-cell battery are now part of the ORIGINAL price instead of extra add ons. The sales rep placed an order for the 14.1/ 4 cell with the SAME price as this new deal.
Am I being ripped off and does Dell owe me something here...or is there a chance they manufactured my laptop with these new specs anyway?

you should contact dell and get the upgrades free or cancel your order and reorder.

Thanks drumfu, I've sent off an email to Dell.

Contact dell and if they give you a problem cancel your order then do it again -
After a few e-mails and pointing out the fact that a re-order would be impractical for me as I am leaving the province in three weeks, Dell is giving $70 back to me. So while I still have lesser specs, at least I am getting what I'm paying for.
Thanks for your help!
