Looking at the Dell site it is nowhere to be found. Has it been discontinued? Anyone know why?

I thought it was pretty good value. Where else can you get a 13" for £400?

i'm not saying it wasn't good value, but as laptops go it was old and besides, you can get a Vostro 13

It's not old, but it is based on old (obsolete) technology- the Intel GM965/PM965 chipset. Along with that comes the Intel GMA X3100 or nVIDIA 8400M GS.

The design is actually the most attractive among the Inspirons, IMO. I just checked and it is back up on the Dell site, starting at $499.

Dell introduced a new Vostro lineup last week, including the Vostro 1320. It has the updated Intel GM45/PM45 chipset. An updated Inspiron 13 will show up any day now....

Hey, my Studio 1535 has the PM965 too, ya know! I don't appreciate you calling it old! *Rolls up sleeves*

Haha, I know what you mean. Honestly, I wish I had gotten a 1537 with the PM45 chipset. I have the T9500 processor right now, which is the best processor supported by PM965. If I had a 1537, I could have upgraded so much further. :p
