BB has slashed now another 50 bucks to the original price, wow! What a deal on a sweet 13.3" lappy...

Would I rather have an XPS m1330? Sure I would. But, I'm not interested in paying an XPS price for a computer right now. So, this machine works just fine, for me. -
I am trying to find the mac id address so I can use this in my router wireless filter. I have not been able to find this. Any idea where to look? I have looked under the device manager but there is nothing listed in the properties for the wireless card. Just an open mac id that I may be able to address myself, maybe this is for spoofing but not sure if this is located somewhere else. Thanks -
1. No. I haven't noticed anything odd with my keyboard. It seems very consistent all the way across. You may have a keyboard issue, or I may not be as sensitive when it comes to my keyboards as you.
2. If you want to find your mac address, open a command prompt and type:
ipconfig /all
The mac address will be listed as the "physical address" of the wireless adapter.
Hope this helps. -

How's the heat and battery life on this little machine? I'm planning to use it for casual net browsing and ms office stuff. Screen brightness at around 50-60%. Can I expect 5+ hours?
Looks like a sweet buy. I was going to wait for BF, but this deal seems really good right now. -
I think you would get around 5 hours or so I have not really timed mine. Heat has not really been much of an issue, at times it may get a little warm but nothing i think to worry about. The screen has 7 levels of brightness and I use mine around 5 or 6 most of the time and the power meter says 60% left with 3 hours to go. I am really happy with this so far. My keyboard has a little noise to it on the left side. I notice this since I am heavy fingered keying I guess. The noise seems to originate from under the right palm area and I have yet to pull the back cover to see if this has to do with a heat shield or something.
For casual browsing, email and some office work this is really a hard deal to pass up at $650 - $700. I got mine out the door of Best Buy for $697, I stayed with the one year warranty. -
I just got one of these from bestbuy and i have to say for the most part i am very happy.
One thing though is i went online to check how long of a warranty this thing has and dells site says 0 days -

I have also noticed a new noise with this laptop. Every once in a while I here a load click click. It is pretty loud like something is starting to spin up and maybe gets stuck or something, maybe its the fan or possibly the harddrive, not sure yet. I will be digging into the innards this weekend to explore to see if I can find the click and the vibration under the right palm that I get when I type.
If I find something I will take pics and post so you guys can watch out for this. -
You sure its not the cd drive? cause that thing is a beast in the terms of noise haha
Also has anyone found what piece to buy so i can get bluetooth in this lappy -
Just ordered it...messed with my friends the other day, XP install was pretty easy with the exception of the audio and card reader drivers.
Oh well, great deal for 650
