Hi, I need help. My Dell Inspiron 1100 is not charging from the AC adapter. However, on the AC adapter the "status" light no longer glows green. Is this related to an AC adapter problem? Please help!

Yes, sounds like the adapter has gone capput. This could mean it suffered from a surge and is now fried (better that than the laptop) or you have a faulty adapter that has died from its ailments. Contact Dell, usually battery warranties last for 1-year and cover the adapter. If the laptop is over a year old...time bo buy a new AC adapter!
