    Questions! :D

    1. I have a windows cd here.. can i just put all the files it has on a usb?(since the 1012 doesn't have any cd drive) and will it read or do i have to do some procedures first?

    2. I have a black screen with a cursor in normal startup, AND in safe mode. It also doesn't respond with a ctrl+alt+del.

clueless as to what to do next. :|

    1) You need to create an ISO file.

    2) A black screen with a blinking cursor is generally a bad file system. I would extract the drive and hook it up to another computer and run chkdsk /r on it.

    Okay did chkdsk repair anything?

Are you able to access your data from via USB connector? I would just do that and reinstall the OS.
