I am pretty savy when it comes to hands on stuff and I have replaced parts from other laptops but today when I took my Dell Inspirion 9100 apart to clean it something has gone wrong.

I followed the instructions at dells website to remove the heat sink and put the whole thing back together. When I push the power button I get green lights for about 2 seconds and then it just goes dark again. Since I am not even getting to the Dell splash screen I am guessing it is hardware.

Here is what I have tried so far (based on forum searches):
Tear it all down and do it again (looking for connections that could have been separated).
Unlock the heat sink socket and push on it lightly and then relock it.
Pop the memory out and back in for a reset.
With the battery and power disconnected hold the power button down for about 30 seconds.

I know it is something simple since I didn't replace anything but I need some fresh thoughts.
    Thanks
