Anyone know if the UK 7577 comes with a fingerprint scanner?
-
Theoretically it should. I ordered mine two days ago (1050ti, Italian version) and on the final tech sheet I received via email it says it has the fingerprint reader. As we are usually treated as a "third world country" when it comes to computer parts and notebooks, I guess the UK version should have it too

thanks in advance.. -
I just received my 7577 base model with the i5 and 256 NVMe and have added 32gb of Ram and a 1TB HDD (WD Black 7200 rpm). So far I've only played Doom on Ultra and tweaked a few things in terms of software, but I can provide some initial impressions.
1) The build quality is excellent. The keyboard is rock solid, the lid has very little flex and overall this is a great quality build for such a relatively cheap laptop.
2) The red lighting scheme honestly doesn't bother me as much as I thought it might. Frankly I'm kind of used to it already, even though I'm an old hand at the 7559.
3) The fingerprint scanner is brilliant. I've never had one before and this is a really nice touch.
4) The screen is average. I'm generally pretty fussy about screens and couldn't wait to replace the 7559's awful TN abomination, but the screen here is OK enough that I probably won't bother. It's fairly bright and while the colours are kind of pale and undersaturated, it's not bad enough that I'm going to rush out and replace it. The one knock here is that it doesn't support g-sync and I could see some mild screen tearing on Doom on ultra settings (which it played like a champion by the way).
5) Speaking of Doom the fans did a great job of keeping the laptop cool, but you can really hear them when they kick in. I would definitely recommend headphones for long gaming sessions.
6) And now the biggest knock against this machine so far. To put it simply, when I installed the WD drive the back no longer snaps back together properly. The reason (I'll try and post pictures on this later) is that the back panel has some blue felt on it to presumably protect the hard drive and when you install the drive it pushes the whole bottom right hand corner out of whack. I don't know if this is because I'm using a HDD and an SSD or SSHD would be different, but it is clearly a design flaw. It's not that anything internal is exposed, but it is not snapping back together there properly. Weird.Last edited: Oct 26, 2017 -

Actually its not bothering me but in my country India its cost me ₹125000 ( $1923) for full hd, 256gb ssd model. If i paid a premium price for this model am expecting the laptop with no faults. ( maybe I expect too much )
If possible can you please share your laptop screen picture with black screen that might help me to understand backlight bleed more
If possible can you please share your laptop screen picture with black screen thanks.

There is a really small amount of backlight bleed at the top which somehow I missed before - whoops! However my initial impression of the screen changed considerably when I compared it to my GL702VM and the LP156WF6 screen I put on my 7559.
I'm know thinking seriously about switching the screens from the 7559 to the 7577.vikram0136 likes this. -

Mine looked pretty much identical to the image above.

Got my machine yesterday, because the internet connection was bad at my place, I had to wait until today to set the machine up at my university.
First impressions,
1. Build quality: Bulky, decent
2. Accessibility: Very good, you can access the components and clean the fan pretty easily.
3. Screen: Decent but not great, it's OK when you use indoors, against the lights, but it's not great in sunlight. The brightness is around 250 nits. The color is not very good, compared with my 2017 MacBook Pro (Of course it should not be as good as the Mac)
4. Noise: Yes, when the fan kicks in the noise is notable, but this can be fixed by using a headphone.
5. Temperature: Have not yet tested.
6. Speakers: Nice, but if you block the front of the PC it'll degrade pretty obviously.
The McAfee subscription came with the machine is 1 year, somewhat useful.
It's recommended that you reinstall the system on day 1. -
I have few queries regarding the variant sold in INDIA
1) The SSD installed is of samsung ? SAMSUNG PM961 ? any idea about sequential read/write speeds?
2) The Indian Model comes with fingerprint sensor? maybe a screenshot with HWInfo be good ?
3) Whats the Base and Boost clock of the 1060 MQ ?
4) What's the maximum overclocking that can be done to the GPU ? 200Mhz or more ?
5) The Adapter is 180Watt ?
Thanks in advance
