Recently I bought Dell I6000, when i try to scan virus using Mcafee and Trendmicro, it takes me 2hrs plus to finish. Why? Is new and I haven't save any new program or files. Furthermore, I notice there are alot of files when scanning for virus. Where these files come from? Kindly help

All the crap dell puts on there laptops before they get to you. You need to do a reformat.

I have mcafee also, i dont have much files and it takes me 3 hours. Its a slow scan so it makes sure it gets everything.

If you don't want to do a reformat (which would be best in your situation), the go into Add/Remove programs and uninstall all of the Dell crapware. That will help more than anything.

I would still suggest you do a reformat... With Winxp it is easy enough.. most of that stuff is automated

Hence why I said "It would be best in your situation".
