I just ordered a HP Pavilion 4610us over the Dell Inspiron 1100. Who has higher relibility rating.

I think HP has gotten better with time and Dell has gotten worse. I would give the slight nod to HP.

trezmac, can you give us a link for reliability ratings on notebooks? This would be a great help for all of us! Thanks! [8D]

I agree with nesbo. I was hyped about going out and buying my first laptop and I was sure it was going to be a Dell. Then I did a little research and found that the quality of the Dells, as of late, has been declining. I remember being told that if I was goign to buy this $1000.00 model that I was looking at that I better get the 3 year $300.00 warrenty. This is what lead me to HP. Heck, either way you are choosing from either the #1 or #2 laptop company, so really can't make a horrible decision.
