To save me some money (I was already very over budget!) I choose a 120GB 7200RPM. Does anyone know what brand and model dell use for this? I'm hoping it is quite a decent and fast drive. Be nice to know the model so I can look it up.

They may also use Seagate if it is available in that size/RPM.

They dont tend to use Seagates very much, which is a shame since they are the coolest and quietest drives with the free fall sensor etc.
Dell tend to use Hitachi drives, which are still higher performers, but tend to make a clicking noise quite regularly. Many wont notice it, but I did. Its a bit louder then the Seagates and runs slightly hotter, but you may not be bothered by this at all.

My system came with a Hitchi 7200rpm 200GB drive - I sold it asap and replaced it with 2 Seagates!

    The 120GB 7200RPM in the M1530 was a Fujitsu MHW2120BJ.

Anyone know what HDs are used in the M1330?
250 GB 5.4k rpm and the 200 GB 7.2k rpm. I don't know which one to get.
