    Good Day All,
I just bought a dell 6400. It is due to arrive Tuesday the 6th. Due to all the talk of the ATI Mobility X1400 graphics card being superior to the Nvida Go 7300 I am second guessing my purchace.Specs:

    Inspiron 6400
    Intel Core 2 Duo, T7200 (4MB/2.0GHz/667MHz)
    2GB DDR2, 667MHz (2X1GB cards)
    100GB 7200RPM SATA HD
    15.4 WSXGA
    256MB Ge Force Go7300 Graphics

In users opinions for light gaming and alot of photo editing, is it worth the hassle to return this machine to get another just like it except with the X1400 card? I do feel like I got shafted with the more expensive lower performing card.

Sorry I'm not answering your question, but how do I get a 6400 without having a business? They are much cheaper than 1505's, but when I go to checkout I have to fill in company name. What did you do?

I typed in my name for the company name, and had no problem.

The 6400 is also known as the e1505, if that makes any difference. However, it looks like Tesla is from the States, so I don't know if there is a difference, as in Canada, the 6400 and e1505 are the same units, with different names.

The 6400 is the business version of the 1505

it doesn't matter if you have a business or not.

for the business name just put in your name and consulting at the end.

and it also seems to be a lot less expensive!
does anyone know why this is? do they just expect businesses to buy a large quantity of them?

You'll find good deals on any laptop right now because computer makers are dumping inventory due to Intel's new chipset Santa Rosa arriving. Present Core 2's won't work with Santa Rosa so should find good deals all around. I read an article somewhere a few weeks ago that you won't see present Core 2's anywhere after Quarter 3 of this year.
