Dell outlet sold me a system that was substantially damaged. After a month, they've now replaced the system but have sent me an email saying...

'Please advise what are you expecting as a Goodwill Gesture in terms of
the parts that can be arranged for the delay of the delivery'

What have people got as Dell goodwill gestures?

Does anyone know what the chances are of them upgrading my CPU to C2D?

Well yeh, I hadn't asked - although I had thought of it, but I'd thought the moment had passed.

At the time I was quite annoyed - that they had sold an outlet system to a new customer without repairing the damage reported/caused by a previous customer.
When the replacement system arrived I was thinking they might have upgraded something as a gesture, but this was not the case.

With the arrival of the newly built perfectly working system, I had decided not to bother pushing for some sort of compensation.

But now they go and offer...
