Does anyone know the best number to reach the department that handles this issue? If anyone ordered an XPS laptop back in December 07, they had a promotion for a 100-250 dollar gift card depending on the price of the laptop. I never recieved it, and I did call about it back late February 08 and they told me I would be recieving soon.

Talking to someone now, who said its my fault because I never called back to check status, and 6 months has surpassed already. Total BS, I already had called them before, you should't have to be calling CSR all the time when they promised you would be recieving a gift card in the mail.

In any event, contact the BBB about this. If Dell does not do anything then, contact your CC company and dispute the cost of the laptop and ask to chargeback for the amount of the GC+tax.

Hi, I have the same problem. XPS 1330 from Dec' 07. I have not received my $200 gc. I would figure they can look up that it has not been redeemed yet...Which number did you call sickZ?

Just the 800 number, then spoke to a CSR. Check out the dellcommunity forums, there is a huge thread about it. Send a PM to the Dell Rep Todd and he will shoot you a message back with the info. Haven't recieved a response from him yet, he hasn't been logged on. Everyone on the thread got their gift card 21 days after Todd forwarded to the special team handling this issue.

thanks sickZ, i have checked out the dellcommunity forum. dell has just been repeating that they don't handle these giftcard problems after 3/30/08 anymore. can u keep me updated if "Todd" does respond? much appreciated. thanks in advance.
