I recently purchased a Dell Studio XPS 1640 and it was delivered in mid-April. Part of my order included a "$150 Dell Promo Gift Card - Arrives in 6-8 wks, 90 day Exp." The gift card has yet to be delivered and it has been past 8 weeks.

What course of action should I take? Anyone have a similar experience? What number should I contact?

    Thank you in advance.

Call them and complain until they get it to you. If they don't relent, go on their webforums and complain.

I bought my laptop in 2007 and they tried to screw a bunch of us over. They claimed our systems weren't eligible - we all complained and some nice guy over on Dell's forums finally helped us out.

They probably messed up their system. Again.

Yes, you should have received it by now. Contact Dell..ask for a Resolutions Specialist right away. Don't even go the Rep route.

I went thru this with my 1530..I was supposed to get a $200 GC after the 8 weeks. Never sent! In fact, there are a huge amount of peeps that didn't receive theirs.

Be right to the point with the Resolutions Specialist, and ask them to either issue you a E-Coupon immediately, or you will be taking further action.

They will probably ask for proof that you were to be getting the GC, so be prepared to have that at hand. Also, make sure you get a Case Number/Contact number e-mailed to you (as backup of your convo' with the Res. Specialist).

I ended up ordering what I wanted up to the $200 value of my Gift Card thru the Resolutions Specialist ~ and had it all sent to me vs. waiting for them to send me the actual gift card. I didn't want to wait any longer..I knew what I was spending it on (accessories). So, it worked out fine.

You are going to need to stay on top of this with Dell. Gift Card issuance is something they seem not to be so good at as of late.

I hope this is taken care of w/in your first contact for resolve. I always state *What are you going to do to resolve my issue/situation before the end of the conversation today.* ;)

    Good luck to you!

    Cin ;) :)

Thanks Cin, I talked to a rep a couple days ago and they said the card was shipped on 6/12 but it has been nearly month. They also said if it is not there by Friday, 7/3, I should call back. I'll ask for a Reso Spec.

    I appreciate it Cin.
