i have pre-production stalled since 26 july and there seems no prgress in it ..

i dont think anyone in europe has received a vostro yet mate lol.

mine was ordered on the 29th july, est dhip date of 24th aug.

But had a call from dell lastnight saying it should ship on or before 10th aug.

waiting since 26th july... my vostro order is still in pre-production too. it says delivery by 22nd of Aug but I have my doubts. i'm not in germany, i'm in dublin

 

I ordered a M1330 in Germany and I'm in pre-production for 1 month now... If it doesn't ship next week as promised I'll cancel the order.

 

Did someone tried the phone number to see the status of the order? Since I don't really speak German I didn't figure which number I had to press...

It's seems like a lot of people from europe who ordered a dell are just like me, in the pre-production status for a long time, even on the ship day. Kinda weird...

edit: i've sended a mail about a hour ago to dell customer service to ask about my true status. Still waiting for an answer... I really hope that my notebook doesn't get delayed i have been waiting for a long time!

 

the rep here replies rather fast to emails, bu the answer is always the same "I can see only the same information as you. In my system is still the date 14th of august."...

 

where are you from and what notebook did you order? you're wait time is exactly the same as mine.

 

I'm in Germany. I ordered a M1330. Without fancy options such as LED screen, so I really don't understand because people who ordered after me start to get their laptops... F**K DELL!

 

So, is Dell finally cranking up the production at the Irish assembly line? That's good to hear. I hope they can deliver the outstanding orders quickly and then come down with the component prices. The LED screen was deliberately taken out of the "Ultra" configuration here in Switzerland and it's expensive as hell.

The CPU upgrades cost twice as much here as in the States.

 

Hi Mr. Cameltoe (awesome name). Does every country have its own dell assembly line? Where did you found out that dell is 'cranking up' the production at the irish assembly?

 

The European laptops are all built in Ireland.

I did. Ordered at 07.17. with shipping date 8.1. delayed to 8.24.

And at this moment, while checking these dates, I notice it's in production

 

what did you order? you checked on the web page or by phone?

 

All European notebooks are assembled in Ireland, as mentioned earlier. I just draw this conclusion from the fact, that people in Europe are now beginning to get their machines. That's all.

on the other hand my EDD never changed, lets hope...

 

placed my order on 28/6 and they kepd delaying me till 28/8.
though there are some people who ordered after me they still have their EDD before me. This is so unfair, but what can I do. They just say sir you wait or you can cancell your laptop....

I've just been delayed up to the end of September! This is really BS! I'm totally p*** off!

 

I ordered my Vostro 1500 2007-08-07. It's now in pre-production and the estimated delivery date is 2007-09-12. But the sales rep told me that it could be ready in two weeks.

no it do works unfortunately. I've just cancelled my laptop, I hope they'll send my money back fast or I'll go crazy.

 

I guess Dell run out of component parts which they need for the assembly of the notebooks.

my csr tell me that they start shipping the vostros beginning of next week !!

i hope thats not a ton of bullocks.. if anyone has received their order in germany do let me know...

 

I ordered a Vostro 1500 with same config except I got Vista Business in Sweden.
Estdd is September 12th! Ordered it Aug 12th.

 

voila........ my bestellstatus finally changed after 20 days !! now its in liefervorbereitung.... hope to get it sometime begining of next week... :tongue:

 

its finally out from dell factory ..... i will be getting it hopefully by today or tomorrow

 

I ordered mine (1520, T7300, espresso, 1440 Display TrueLife) on July 27th and its in "Produktionsvorbereitung" since then, nothing cahnges. Estimated for August 24th, but actually I need it on Monday... DAMN!
