This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I've been a former Inspiron 5150 user that was hit with the dead motherboard problem that has been rather popular among many users on the net and was forced to send it back for repairs ($500 to get my new motherboard). Anywho, in case others haven't known, this article in the Toronto Star shows someone who's bringing up the case, not only 5150 but a few other models as well and may be worth checking out:
