I bought a 3yr warranty extension for $250+ for my Dell xps and I just received the laptop earlier today. I decided $250 is a lot of money and 1yr basic warranty is more than enough. Can Dell refund purchased of the warranty extension?

    Thanks

I think they will I would suggest calling them up and asking, especially since you just received the laptop.

However do realize depending on what part it is that $250 can get eaten up pretty fast with replacement parts.

Have you thought of trying to get your issues escalated. You have had at least 3 (if not more?), service calls on your lappy? Usually after that it is easier to pressure for a "replacement". Also, I am surprised they are continually fixing your lappy as the replacement parts are more of a cost now that the 1530 is no longer being sold at the home site, etc.

I had 3+ replacement Mobo's, GPUS, on my 1530. After that I was done (along with some the tech nearly breaking my lappy)..after that I put the extreme pressure of my dissatisfaction on Dell for a replacement & I got one.

    You could try:

even e-mailing Mr. Dell: [email protected]

I upgraded my Dell Precision M4400 warranty from 3yr to 5yr for 233 € ( price increased by 50€ since last time I asked Dell about how much would it cost, ouch! ) and I still think it's a good deal. By the way, could anyone tell me how long does it take to reflect the Warranty extension on the Dell webpage? When I enter the service tag it just reflects the standard warranty.

sometimes it takes a couple days and sometimes you have to contact Dell to get it updated

It should only take a couple of days at most.
