Hello, I bought an Alienware M11x R2 a few months ago from Dell. When I purchased it, I used an EPP discount from the company that I work for. I was wondering if I am allowed to resell it (my goal is not to make profit off of it), or if Dell's EULA restricts me from selling it by law. Here is the part about resale:

    10. Not for Resale or Export. You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the various states and of the United States. You agree and represent that you are buying for your own internal use only, and not for resale or export. Dell has separate terms and conditions governing resale of Product by the third parties and transactions outside the United States. Terms and conditions for resale are located at: Dell Terms of Sale, License Agreements & Policies | Dell.

    Any help is appreciated.
    Thank you for your time,
    po1son

    Hey,

I had EPP with my Employer & I purchased a XPS 1530 & a Netbook thru the EPP discount. I paid for it on my own. I just used the applicable EPP discount I was allowed to use.

Therefore, I would be allowed to sell the laptop at my own will.

If, I am correct that stipulation means that you cannot be a "3rd Party Reseller".

You are a "Consumer selling to another Consumer" for "personal use"..so I would assume you would be ok : )

Cin, thank you for your input. Did you ever sell your laptop?

Has anybody else ever been in this situation before?

Not my laptop. It was returned for a replacement laptop.

But, I really don't see the problem if your selling a laptop you used for personal use. : )

I've sold multiple used/old Dell EPP laptops in the past. There's nothing to worry about here. If you're selling a brand new Dell EPP laptop, then that's a different story.

As long as you don't abuse the EPP by making it a business, there's no harm in it. You're entitled to avail the discount for yourself but can sell the notebook anytime you like since you own it.

If your sole purpose is to resell then I would advise against doing it more than once.
