It seems there are a lot of people out there complaining about the quality of the Dell screens, which makes me weary in buying a Dell. Is it worth the risk in terms of getting the great specs for the great price?

well the issue is twofold. First, the light leakage which has been a problem since the last generation (9300, 6000). The second issue is which screen is better between manufacturers, and there are plenty of threads on that. Me personally, i have an i6000 without light leakage, my friend has an i9300 without any problems, another has a new e1705 without any problems and i know a fourth e1505 that doesn't. But plenty of people do, e.g my other friend who returned his 9300. You always have 21 days to return it, and there are ways to replace it free of charge. I personally wouldn't let it get in the way of my purchase.
