    Try this thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=88633&highlight=Media+Direct

I would also suggest using the search function to search for Media Direct and you'll find lots of info.

Reading the information that I got from Dell Regarding Media Direct 3.0 installation. It states to boot to the Media Direct disk then go through the normal process, which will prep the hard drive. Then you reinstall windows then you can install media direct to your partition. When I did a clean install of Vista, I left the Media Direct partition.

It all depends on which version of MediaDirect you have. If you have MediaDirect 3.0, you must use the reinstallation disc and completely reformat.

If it is MediaDirect version 2.0, you need at least 1.5gb of unpartition space located at the end of your hdd. If you have set up as a partition or located anywhere else, then it will not install correctly.
