    which one would you guys recommend? E1505 vs 6400. How is one better than another? need a laptop for 800 and dell haven't had any e1505 lately (07)

    Yep, 6400 is the 'world name' for the American-market e1505. They are the exact same thing, with different name badges.

    In the US, if you look under home and home office they call it the e1505, in buissness and education, its the 6400, as stated, the only difference is the name.

    Its only been out for about a year so thier is really no way of knowing if it is long lasting

    The build quality seems pretty good, and ran very cool after I took over the fan control with I8kfangui. I had no worries when I had mine, I sold it soon after I got it though to get an xps m1210, similar performance in a much more portable package.
