Hi, (hope this is in the right forum)
I have a Dell E1505 with an ATI X1300 graphics card, 2gig RAM (upgraded from 512mb) and 32 bit with recently installed Windows 7.
After installing Windows 7 all was going well, let it self-install the drivers etc. and all was going well untill it started crashing while i was player BF2 with PR, after completley random periods of time it just goes to a blank screen with a repetitive sound (which i am told indicates a gfx driver issue). This also happens when I load up the catalyst control centre 3d thingy almost instantly. I have tried different aged drivers but the support for these old things ended with Vista, I also tried older drivers but there are many different versions. Does anyone know what i can do or download to fix this as its really put an end to gaming and even now does it when just on the desktop or the internet.
Many thanks in advance!

nb: Are there any graphics card i could upgrade this laptop with as an alternative that woould also solve the problem as I have been thinking of doing this for a while.
EDIT: Ok i have looked through and the above is apperently not such a good idea according to the other threads :S

You will have to mod them with this http://www.hardwareheaven.com/modtool.php -
Hi,
Thanks for the advise and I tried this again ( i had tried it before with a different version) but it seems to have made no difference even with the MobilityModder, although i did notice that during the install on the final step of actualyl letting it install it seemed to get about 1/2 way through the install before jumping to the end and quickly finishing.
Is there much else i could try?
Many thanks

If your comfortable with opening the laptop you could check to make sure the graphics card is tight into its connection and check to make sure all cables are tight.
