    Dell E1505 charging issues

    So i have had my Dell E1505 for a while now. A while back it would only charge if I placed the charging cable in a certain way. Then all of a sudden it wouldnt charge at all

    I ordered a replacement ac adapter assuming that would fix it...but it didnt...then i also bought a new battery but that didnt fix it

    i am not able to use my laptop without it being plugged in which makes it so cumbersome trying to use it other than a few feet from a wall


    it tells me my battery is not detected...i no longer am under warranty w/ dell

    any suggestions? i am possibly considering buying a new laptop
