I have read others have found ways around this issue but so far I have had no luck. I was able to get everything installed but the video driver. If anyone knows how I can get this resolved PLEASE help!

Could you provide a Service Tag so we can check on the specs of the dell? That will tell us better if it is Intel HD or ATI video. Also I would avoid putting Windows8 on such a old laptop because drivers most likely isn't for it to use on Windows8. I have similiar laptop with Windows7 but that is the extend of the O/S I am willing to put on that laptop.

Thx for the reply but I finally figured it all out and got the ATI driver loaded. I had to use a certain driver and disable driver signing. Also if you do some reading you will learn that Win8 runs better on older equipment than Windows 7 does. I can confirm this already. It boots very quickly compared to windows 7 and has been very responsive as well. The trick is just getting the old drivers to install.

Good to hear but I now for sure on a Dell B130 I go Windows7 to install and work...and that is old in my laptop book...but if you have to trick W8 to get it to work with older drivers that could lead to unforeseen problems as well or not that is the nature of outdated drivers.
