    Hi All

This is my first every post. I just recently came across this awesome website and have a BIG question for you folks here.

I just bought an E1505 with 15.4 WSXGA + Truelife (1680 x 1080). Being a bit grainy, the screen is not as crystal sharp as I like it to be. I have already adjusted the DPI to 96. I am used to my work laptop, which is a Dell M60 with 15.4 WUXGA + Truelife (1920 x 1200). The fonts are real small, but it is really really clear and sharp.

My question is would the quality of my video card enhance my screen views, especially when I am looking at pictures or surfing the web? The video card on the E1505 is a standard Intel Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator 950 GM. Whereas the M60 video card is NVIDIA Quadro FX Go 1000.

I am thinking about returning the E1505 for another that has a better video like the 128MB ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON® X1300 HyperMemory. Any thoughts??

no, a better video card will not do that. it's a function of the LCD and the LCD resolution.

The video card will not help in that area, drumfu is correct.

You could make things look a bit clearer by enabling ClearType - it would at least help your desktop look better. Right-click desktop --> Properties --> Appearance --> Effects, and check the ClearType box.
