I agree. The X1300 and X1400 are PCI-E. The other is on-board, non-dedicated.
-
the difference with the x1300 and x1400 is the clock speed I think

So are you going to be playing any games? If so what games? If your not going to be playing any games, or really out dated ones then the Intel 950GMA is fine for you. But if your going to be playing newer games the X1400 is definitely worth the $179

Games are the most likely need for a dedicated graphics card but there are others... If you do any 3d stuff a dedicated card is a big plus... if you think you will upgrade to Windows VISTA on the machine in the future A dedicated card might be handy with their new 3d user interface features.
if you dont care about graphics, dont do 3d gaming, etc... then go with the Intel 950 integrated... if you want to do some gaming, but can't spring for the $179 x1400 the x1300 is a good upgrade.
Also, its not a guarantee but if you buy a dell notebook with a dedicated video card, then the motherboard at least is designed for dedicated video... so if Dell offers a better card in the future you might be able to buy it from dell parts and install it. Not a guarantee, but if you go with the integrated its guaranteed to not be upgradable. -
Thanks everyone. I did ordered with the Ati x1400. Just Dell made a mistake on the graphic card descritpion on the E1505.
-
ATI 1300 has 64mb of dedicated memory while ATI 1400 has 128MB dedicated memory. Found this info on E1505 User manual.
-
same card.. -
-
The x1400 is advertised by Dell as being 256MB!

Would the GMA be good enough to run The Movies game?
-
good thing I ordered 2 gig of ram for my e1505 then. So the graphics card will pull from this ram if needed?
Dell E1505 Graphic Card 1400 - worth it??
