im interested to know if it is possible to have two screens at the same time. meaning i plug in an extra monitor, and be able to see something on it and also on my screen from the laptop. like say im browsing on the web on my laptop screen and on my other monitor i watch a film. like a desktop pc with 2 monitors.

Yes it is possible, plug your monitor in via VGA. Right click on your desktop click on properties, then go to the settings tab. Click on the monitor with a '2' in it and then check the "extend my desk top to this monitor" box and then apply.
