I have one simple question about the Duo, is it easy to snap off? It seems that it would, and this concerns me since I am a average 15 year old, you know? This would be very important for me to know.

I would not think Dell would make something that is easy to break. I'm sure if you tried hard enough you could snap it.

I've played around with an Inspiron Duo for awhile, it does seem worryingly loose but ultimately it is secure.

Thanks for your responces guys, very helpful. I love the Duo design, espically the "Tab" functionality, and the price starting around $500, I'll definatly talk my parents into this ;)

Well don't make it your main computer. It's basically a glorified netbook with a tablet/flip screen. Unfortunately I played with one at work and it was disappointing slow for a 600 dollar netbook.

It is fairly sturdy, really. We played around with one several times before purchasing one, we've had it for 3 wkd now, haven't regretted. We were forewarned about the Battery-life and this is the real downside of the unit plain and simple.

It can be a great value if you can purchase it on sale at the right place, if you were to do a search you could see the excellent price reduction that was offered by the main software giant for presidents day week. We were able to purchase the unit and docking bay for affordability and Have it set-up software wise working at it's ulitimate capability without extra's glutting the programs abilities, or if you've got someone computer savvy enough to get all the third party software off ( this is recommended vastly by many postings online) you can look for a similar price reduction elsewhere.
