Hey everyone. I was wondering where do you guys download your drivers for Windows Vista Beta? I've heard some things that we need to get different drivers. Is that true? Let me know. Thanks.

You can download the regular XP Home drivers, and then if im correct, you will get a error. Something about fixing it, and then the driver will work.
ill be trying it out on my 8600 -
Ok cool. Thanks.

My Inspiron 6400 works fine natively on Windows Vista Beta 2. Not that I'm running it as my main OS. Even while installing something like itunes the PF was at 700MB. Completely useless if you start to multitask. But just using the drivers that came with vista and the ones downloaded through the auto update the resolution was at 1680x1050. Wireless worked great. Sound worked as well. Auto update downloaded and installed the HD sound driver.
In conclusion. I didn't touch any drivers sites. I just installed and that was it. -

I installed Vista on a VM session on the laptop and it installed as a 4 color VGA device until I installed the VMware tools for a SVGA driver. Even so Vista has been running pretty good all told this way. Havent messed with Aero yet though so i am sure that will be an issu of sorts.
