Have bought 3 laptops and much accesories in the past year. I had a $75.00 coupon for dell dollars. I ordered an external harddrive, and 5 days later i get a text saying it is no longer available and order is canceled. No problem, went to order something else, said my dell dollars were invali as already used. After speaking to 3 reps and 2 superviosors, i was told once the dell dollats coupon is used it cannot be re-used...Ok. i said, you canceled the item a week later why can you not issue me a new one, they all said the same thing 1 use, no replacement and basically told me i was out of luck. I was nice about it but also explained i earned the $75.00 coupon and basically they are taking back from me, they could care less if i ever purchae again...what kind of crap is this????? Fine, 1 use, but if never paid out they should issue a new one, anyone have this probelm and or have a solution???? thanks in advance

Ouch...I'd contact the sales rep who initially placed the order using the Dell dollars AND the sales rep that you bought the laptop(s) from.

Also consider filing a BBB complaint...not sure how much that would help.

Finally, if yelling your head off @ Dell doesn't help...consider filing a chargeback with your CC company.

Try to contact a resolution specialist. Maybe you worded this wrong on the phone? You have to make them understand that your Dell Dollars were sent towards something not available, and therefore they should return your gift card to your card.

i did all purchases online, there is nothing to chargeback with the dell dollars, as the order was cancelled, just looking to get what i earned......if this is the case i will buy HP laptops from now on, whether better or not, this is very very poor customer service, and i HATE when they over and over read a script and could give a crap about anything anyone says....they s@#k!!!!!

Well i went to a resolution specialist, reps, and all thru the pecking order...Bottom line, they DO NOT re-issue the dell dollars after redemption even if item is NEVER delivered.....I am digusted and pissed. I tried being very nice and asked for them to try and help me, but ALL refused. After many major purchases from them i do not know how i can want to ever purchase again!!!!! I will probably complain to BBB and any other organization that i can make a little noise, but in the meantime, anyway you cut it i am out $75.00 i earned from a prior purchase........Thanks for all the suggestions!!

Charge back to the bank! Tell them that you want to send back all your computers because of the shoddy service.

Its unheard of that they would fail to honor a coupon when they can see that the order was placed and canceled by no hand of your own.

Issue a chargeback with the purchase that got you the Dell dollars to start with.
