Dell was unable to provide me with any info or documentation on the discount I received at time of purchase. I bought a Inspiron 600m in 2005, and received a $750 off of $1500 via an instant rebate code I found here on notebookreview. It was stolen last month, and I'm preparing a theft insurance claim.

My invoice and order details only show the final price, and not the original value prior to the $750 discount. Dell support says my account info does not contain any information about the erebate that was applied to my purchase. They can't provide me with any supporting documentation.

Does this make any sense? Does Dell not have any info on the pre-rebate price of my system? Has anyone else faced this situation with an insurance claim?
