Is it possible to go to a Dell Direct Store location, configure a computer, and pay them for what you've ordered (in person)?

I really don't know a lot about Dell Direct Stores, so I apologize if this is a stupid question.

    Thanks.

Yes, you can either pay credit card, financing, money order, chq, or wire transfer. They do not accept cash. However, I am not a hundred precent sure about the new store that just opened in Dallas. But if you mean a Kiosk, then yes.

Good news. Can you buy business store laptops there, or will I be limited to home store products?

I think the way it works is that you can go there and look at them, but they basically do an online order when you purchase your system.

I'm not 100% sure though. I thought a user had said that was the way it was.

I haven't ever done it, but when I was looking into it I found out that what you do is you'll pay for it there and then basically they place the order and you'll be emailed the order number as if you order it online. They don't have a stock to sell you. The kiosks near me suck anyway. They just have the lower line laptops and an E310 or E510 desktop.

As always SG is right, essentially, what you get at a kiosk is to test out the product before the sales place your order online. You will NOT be getting a laptop then and there. As for the stores, I believe they carry a good stock but only the base models and are not for those who wish to highly customize their notebooks
