I ordered an xps on 11/7/07...the next day I say it was cancelled...I called and eventually after talking to several people I could barely understand that they had done something where they needed to replace the order but my my dell prefered account had to be refreshed before they did that because the money taken out for the first order was not in the account when it was replaced...Im still confused on this one...anyway they reordered it on 11/8 and since I was on the line right after that with dell finacial services they approved it right here...I got overnight shipping for my trouble,,
My est. shipping date was set to 11/27 and delivery for 11/28. Well guess what! Yesterday 11/27 at night I got an email that said it was delayed till 12/4 but no reason was given....So last night I checked the automated status line and it said that it was in the boxing stage so I calmed down a bit...
This morning I decided to check the automated line again and to my surprise it said my system was in the build stage. I immediatly redailed and it went back to saying it was in the boxing stage...
Unfortunalty I was busy working so I could not deal with this. When I got home I decided to try the chat so that I could understand better...This was not a very good experience...first of all the person was really slow, i dont think he was a slow typer I just think he was either multitasking or who knows what, he even put me on hold...secondly it was like talking to one of those automated voice lines repeating what I typed and sounding stiff. He also would tell me things in breaks. I asked him whats going on it says its been delayed and the answer he has is that he sees its been delayed...I asked him why and he says he has to look that up...5min later he says LCD on back order....then I ask so the automated line is wrong and 2 min later he says exactly....whats up with that....then he says he hopes I understand why he can't help me.
Anyway im starting to see why some people critisize dell. They didnt even offer me anything for this newest delay.
